Formed Elements or Component of blood.
The components of bloods are:-
The components of bloods are:-
1. RBC( Erthrocytes) :- It is responsible for the transportation of the Gases in the entire body due to the presence of hemoglobin( iron containing pigment). The shape of the RBC cell is BIconcave. The number of RBC in the blood is 5.5million/mm3.
2. Platelets(Thrombocytes):- The component of blood responsible for the blood clotting. The number of platelets in the blood is 1.5-3.5 lakh/mm3 of blood.
3. WBC(leucoctyes):- It is the army of blood who fights against the antigens or foreign harmful agents. It is categoriesed into two types-
A) Agranulocytes- absences of granules. They are of two types:- Monocyte and lymphocytes. Lymphocytes are also of two types B lymphocytes and T lymphocytes.
B) Granulocytes- presence of granules
They are of three types
Neutrophils, basophil, Eosinophils.
Now Explanations of the types-
i) Eosinophils - Works in allergic reaction. It can be stained by the acidic die. it also nhelps in the parasitic reaction to protects the body.
ii) Basophils- Sames works like the Mast cells. It produces Histamine, Serotonin, Heparin(anti cougulant). Present in the least amount in the WBCs (0.5-1%). It can be stained by the basic die,.
iii) Neutrophils - It is most abundant WBC (60-65%) It is phagocytic in nature also called as PMNL( poly morpho nuclear lymphocyte). It will stain by both Acidic as well as the basic Die.
iv) Monocyte - It is also phagocytic in nature. Amount is (6-5%).
v) T lymphocytes:- It helps in the formation of antibodies. It can also kill the antigens then these cells are called Cytotoxic cells.
vi) B lymphocytes - It secretes antibodies against Antigens.
